On small sites

The best personal sites feel like a desk, not a storefront. A few tools within reach, some notes pinned up, room to leave a project half-finished overnight and come back to it.

This is the first thought. They’re meant to be quick — if a note grows past a few paragraphs and starts wanting headings, it probably belongs in articles instead.
